About Lisa Chinn Clay
Like many potters...
All it took was one class in a pottery studio to begin this journey. Clay is challenging, frustrating, fun and so rewarding. There is always a new technique, new shape, new clay or glaze to try. And I'm here for all of it! I'm happy you are here to see the journey.
My pottery is made in small batches at a local clay studio in Longmont, Colorado. The pottery is made with a high fire stoneware clay body and kiln fired to cone 10. My pieces are primarily functional and meant to be used everyday. A great cup of coffee or tea is so much more satisfying in a one-of-a-kind handmade mug.
You will notice small differences in size, shape and color, which I believe adds to the unique quality of handmade pottery. The glazes I use are food, dishwasher and microwave safe. However, to extend the life of your pottery, hand washing is best.
